Johnson, Hehr earn salute in RVC volleyball

A pair of local volleyball standouts earned first-team All-Rock Valley Conference status after terrific seasons.

Brodhead's Abbey Johnson and Big Foot's Kampbell Hehr, both juniors, secured a spot on the first team in the competitive RVC. Edgerton's Ashlyn Oren was named Player of the Year.

Big Foot's Sophia Foster was named to the second-team, while her teammates Abby Peterson and Reagan Courier earned honorable mention.

Also earning honorable mention were Chandra Clark and Brooke Bescup of Brodhead, Nicole Chrislaw and Molly Kemp of Clinton and Camila Hallmann and Daley Wilson of Beloit Turner.

• COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: Big Foot graduate Sydney Racky earned first-team All-WIAC after an outstanding senior season for UW-Whitewater. Racky piled up 316 kills, second on the team, for the 22-8 Warhawks. She also led the team with 38 aces.
