On June 20, 2009, at the Together We Read celebration, 70 eager children, along with parents and other adults, gathered together to celebrate books and reading. The children illustrated small books, created Harry Potter wands, received their own books to keep, and listened to stories read aloud. This celebration was held at the new Beloit Public Library, a beautiful facility dedicated to reading.
