Mary A. Peterson, 77, of Black River Falls, WI, and formerly of Beloit, WI, died Monday, December 3, 2012 at Black River Falls Memorial Hospital.
She was born December 22, 1934 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Howard and Agnes (Phillips) Turpin. Mary was a graduate of South Beloit High School. She married Robert Peterson on February 14, 1953 in Dubuque, IA. He predeceased her on June 17, 1997.
Mary was formerly employed by Freeman Shoe. She enjoyed fishing, embroidery canning vegetables and working. Mary was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #164.
Survivors include her children, William (Connie) Peterson of Beloit, WI, Judy (Ron) Johnson of Black River Falls, Russell (Tami) Peterson of Beloit, WI, and Marla (Frank) Bahr of Alma Center, WI; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Turpin of California; sister, Karne Gratz of Madison, WI; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, son, Timothy Peterson, brothers, Frances Turpin, Ralph Vickers, Jim Turpin, Howard Turpin and Merle Turpin, step sister, Anna Halzel and grandson, Keith Galster.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Jonathan Golz presiding. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
