Judith Ann LaMendola, 74, of South Beloit, IL, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, IL.
She was born January 20, 1944 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Francis and Honoria (Kovars) Munn. Judy was a 1962 graduate of Beloit Catholic High School where she was the Homecoming Queen her senior year. Judy started her working career at Beloit Corporation. She then was employed by Midwest Directories and retired from Alpha Home Health Care in 2005. Judy was very artistic and starting painting at a young age. She enjoyed watching game shows and reading. She was a member of the Stephen King book club.
Survivors include her sons, Christopher (Gina) LaMendola of Rockford, IL, and Jason (Sherry) LaMendola of Dixon, IL; grandchildren, Nathon, Ashley (Brian), Andrew, Megan (Heath), Kenneth, Raquel, Alexander and Alyssa; nine great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, son Alonzo "Lonny" LaMendola and great granddaughter Brielle Walters.
Visitation of remembrance for Judy will be from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter Catholic Church, 620 Blackhawk Blvd, South Beloit, IL, with Fr. Steven Sabo officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
