Carl F. Braunreiter, age 102 died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in his home. He was born September 15, 1915 to the late Joseph and Anna (Hornig) Braunreiter in Pittsville, WI. Carl married Leona M. Balogh on September 12, 1945 in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on October 15, 2016. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Carl worked at the Miller Brewing Company and as a Butcher. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 until 1945. Carl loved his family coming from a family of 6 brothers and 6 sisters. He followed sports teams and enjoyed bowling and golfing.
He is survived by his four children, Tom Braunreiter, Jerry Braunreiter, John and Mary Braunreiter, Nancy and Mike Gara; and his two sisters, Agnes Fritsch and Rosie Bramm.
He was preceded in death by his wife Leona, his parents, his daughter, Karen.
The family would like to thank Beloit Regional Hospice for their loving care the past three weeks, especially Paige, Karen, Pam, Geri, Julie and Mark.
Carl's Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at ST. JUDE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 737 Hackett Street, Beloit. Friends will be received on Tuesday in Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Military Burial Rites will be accorded in the Church parking lot following the service. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee. Please share a memory or a condolence with the family on our website.
