Edward H. Fairchild, age 59 died Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Alden Meadow Park in Clinton. He was born June 12, 1958 to John G. and Phyllis M. (Schoville) Fairchild in Beloit. Ed graduated from Parker High School, class of 1976. He married Carie Chrislaw on October 19, 2002. Ed worked for the Clinton Police Department for 35 years until his retirement on April 30, 2016. Ed was actively involved in the Clinton area always lending a hand when needed. He was diligent and worked hard in serving the Clinton Community as a fair and honest police officer. Ed was well respected by the residents and business owners in Clinton. He enjoyed boating, camping, fishing and driving his scooter (usually at a high rate of speed) around the area.
He is survived by his wife, Carie Fairchild; his three children, Dawn (Donald) Clifton of Afton, Michelle (Sean) Donagan of Clinton and Jason (Nicole) Inman of Clinton; his father, John Fairchild of Beloit; his two brothers, Thomas (Barbara) Benson of Sedona AZ and Curtis Fairchild of Afton, WI; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Steven Fairchild.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Alden Meadow Park for the care they gave Ed.
Ed's Funeral Service will be 12 Noon Monday February 12, 2018 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Rev. Laura Malcak officiating. Friends will be received on Monday in the Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
