Rauscher

Grace E. Rauscher, 79, of Janesville, WI passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care in Janesville, WI.

She was born in Wausau, WI, the daughter of Leo and Florence (Graveen) Buchberger. Grace graduated from Wausau East High School, and was employed at Antlers Resort and Voss' Birchwood Resort during this time. She married the love of her life, Robert W. Rauscher, on July 27, 1959 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild, WI.

Grace worked at Chester's Department Store, Beloit, WI, and the Boston Store in Beloit, Madison, and Janesville, WI. She was a past member of St. Jude Catholic Church, and most recently, St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Janesville. Grace was a member of the Junior Women's Club, Red Hatters Club, and Bridge Card Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, knitting, ceramics, playing bridge, and spending time with friends and family on her pontoon boat.

Grace is best remembered by her family and friends as someone who was genuinely kind and loved to spoil her grandchildren, especially on Christmas. You could always expect to be greeted with a loud "Hi Honey!" and her signature coral lipstick mark on your cheek. Her brightly colored clothes always reflected her warm personality, and you could count on hearing "Isn't that sharp?!" with every present opened. Grace had a way of making everyone feel special and loved.

Survivors include her children, Carrie (Karl) Wedel, Pamela (Jeffrey) Schultz, Kevin (Wendy) Rauscher, and Lynnae Rauscher; grandchildren, Amy Wedel, Kelly (Kyle) Saunders, Meghan Wedel, Brittany Schultz, Allison Rauscher, and Emily Rauscher; and brothers Don and Roger Buchberger, both of Wausau, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Marlene Buchberger and Delores Jablonski.

A visitation of remembrance will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, 1245 Clark St., Janesville, WI, with Msgr. Terry Connors officiating. There will also be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the church.
