Jackie A. Latimer, 36, of the 1900 block of S. Cottage Avenue, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of narcotic drugs.

On Sept. 21, Town of Beloit Police responded to a report of a man with a gun in the 1900 block of South Cottage Avenue. Upon arrival the officer spoke with the reporting person. The reporting person said his neighbor threatened him with a handgun. Latimer told the man to get off his property. The reporting person explained that he had made contact with Latimer at Latimer's house because he was concerned about people who had been driving on his lawn. The reporting person had been carrying a pistol on his hip, according to a witness.

Latimer later told the officer he felt threatened because his neighbor had a gun displayed on his hip and he grabbed a soft air gun. Latimer stated he went outside and confronted the reporting person with that gun

After police made contact at the Latimer residence they observed baggies of marijuana, 2.3 grams, inside the home as well as oxycodone.
