Beloit police respond to report of gunfire

BELOIT - Beloit police responded to a report of gunfire in the 700 block of Oak Street on Wednesday.

Officers responded to the area at around 10:58 p.m. and recovered multiple shell casings at the scene. No property damage or injuries were reported, command staff said. No suspect or suspects have been identified.

The department asks anyone with information about the incident to call 608-757-2244 or the Greater Beloit Area Crime Stoppers at 608-362-7463.
