Man accused of hitting child with baby gate

JANESVILLE - A Beloit man has been charged after allegedly hitting a child with a baby gate in an intoxicated tyraid, according to a Rock County criminal complaint.

Nicholas J. Russotto, 30, is charged with physical abuse of a child, misdemeanor battery domestic abuse, disorderly conduct domestic abuse after allegedly becoming agitated on June 9 at a home in the 200 block of East South Avenue in Beloit, the complaint said.

Russotto allegedly threw a glass of water in the kitchen and then threw a baby gate that struck a child in the head, according to the complaint.
