Roscoe police report warrant phone scam

Print Article

ROSCOE - A telephone scam where the caller claims to be someone from the Roscoe Police Department has been reported.

Citizens have received a voicemail call from 815-623-7338 and the Asian female voice stated she was from the Roscoe Police Department and that there were warrants for their arrest. The citizens are then directed to call a number back to take care of the warrants.

Warrants are not taken care of in this fashion, but police will meet with those wanted on warrants to resolve the issue.
