BELOIT - Beloit physical therapist Brittany Keyes has announced she will run for Wisconsin Assembly District 31 seat.

Keyes, a Democrat, said her education, career in health care, community service and work with young people have equipped her with what she will need to serve in the Assembly.

"Unemployment in our state and region are low now," Keyes said. "But too many people are working two or more jobs and still having to choose whether to pay the rent or buy groceries or fill prescriptions."

Incumbent Amy Loudenbeck, R-Clinton, has said she intendeds to seek re-election. She has served in the Assembly since 2010.
