Jernigan is named child support enforcer

JANESVILLE - Emily Jernigan has been named Rock County Director of Child Support Enforcement.

Jernigan currently is the operations manager for the Department of Child Support Services for San Bernadino County, California. In her Rock County position, she will manage more than 11,000 child support cases each year. She also will manage a staff of more than 32 full-time equivalent staffers.

The hiring of Jernigan was approved by the Rock County Board of Supervisors on Thursday. She is scheduled to start her new job on April 23.
