Council candidates to speak Wednesday

BELOIT - The League of Women Voters of Beloit will sponsor a Beloit City Council candidate forum Wednesday at City Hall, 100 State St.

The event will be from 6:30 - 8 p.m. The city council candidate forum will be televised on Charter Cable Access digital channel 992, and it will be live stream on Beloit Access Television (BATV) YouTube channel.

Current council members including Council President Kevin Leavy, Council Vice President Regina Dunkin and councilors Beth Jacobsen and Mark Preuschl will seek new terms on the council. They will face challengers Rose Richard and Paul Martin who are seeking their first terms on the council.

The city council general election will be held on April 3.
