Police arrest female suspect in hit-and-run

BELOIT - Beloit police arrested a woman suspected in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday afternoon, according to command staff.

Cassandra C. Leon, 20, of Beloit, was arrested following a crash near Middle Street and Eighth Street around 3:04 p.m., records show. Leon allegedly hit a parked vehicle while driving.

Command staff said they believed the incident to be an intentional hit-and-run, with Leon being previously acquainted with the victim.

Leon was arrested on possible charges of hit-and-run and resisting arrest, command staff said.
