BELOIT - Keith Stamper and his CARES (Community Arms Reaching Everybody) Team along with representatives from four area churches are taking students to the March for Our Lives gun control rally in Washington, D.C.

"I really want to take these kids out there and see how people of all ages, races and religions can come together and raise concerns in a positive way," Stamper said. "The only way we can get something done is to make a stand."

If people want more information on the trip, they can contact Stamper at 608-346-3343 to sign up. It's free of charge, but space is limited.

Students must be age 12 and up.

Stamper said four churches have committed 17-passenger vans and chaperones for the trip.

Those who wish to make donations can make out checks to Lighthouse Fellowship Church. They can be mailed to Stamper at 1024 Chapin #2, Beloit WI 53511 or to Lighthouse Fellowship Church at 112 Merrill St., Beloit.
