TOWN OF ROCK - Rock County sheriff's deputies and the county SWAT team were called to a shots fired report Saturday in the 800 block of West Happy Hollow Road.
A man had fired a rifle inside the residence and a family member had removed the rifle from the residence before deputies arrived on the scene. However, other firearms were inside the residence and deputies secured the area.
The county SWAT team was called to the scene and a robot was deployed inside the residence and it made visual contact with the man in a bedroom. SWAT members attempted verbal contact via the robot with no response. SWAT members entered the residence and found the male on his bed. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville for medical treatment. Nobody was injured when the rifle was discharged inside the residence. Follow-up is still pending.
