The Greater Beloit Area Crime Stoppers is looking for Deangelo M. Thomas, 20, who is wanted on warrants for felony possession of a controled substance, resisting/obstructing, felony bail jumping, felony aggravated battery, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Thomas is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Thomas is asked to call the Greater Beloit Area Crime Stoppers at 608-362-7463 or submit a tip at www.p3tip.com. Callers may remain anonymous.

Crime of the Week

Shortly before 8 a.m. on Jan. 30 a three-vehicle, hit-and-run accident occurred at Wisconsin and Woodward. The operator of the suspect vehicle was identified as Shane S Rouse, 27, who failed to yield right of way while pulling away from the stop sign at Wisconsin and Woodward, according to police reports. Rouse collided with a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Woodward, and then he backed up to leave and collided with another vehicle that was southbound on Wisconsin. Rouse then left the scene of both accidents traveling southbound on Wisconsin. The occupants of the first vehicle hit by Rouse reported injuries and were taken by ambulance to the Beloit Memorial Hospital. Rouse is wanted by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and can be arrested for five traffic offenses. The hit and run vehicle was found in the 1400 block of East Broad Street. The traffic offenses are OAR, hit and run, hit and run causing injury, unsafe backing, Operating vehicle without insurance and failure to yield right of way from stop sign.
