YWCA seeks nominations for 2018 Racial Justice Award

JANESVILLE - The YWCA Rock County is accepting nominations for the 2018 Racial Justice Award until Dec. 20.

The award will be presented during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration scheduled for 3 p.m. Jan. 13 at Blackhawk Technical College.

The Racial Justice Award recognizes an individual who strives to eliminate racism and promotes racial equality. Individuals nominated should have a strong commitment to peace and race relations, participated in specific peacemaking or anti-racism activism, demonstrate leadership and service to others.

Nomination forms can be found online at www.ywcarockcounty.org or at the YWCA Rock County office at 1735 S. Washington St. Nominations can be mailed to the YWCA, email to vbrown@ywcarockco.com, or sent via fax at 608-755-4743.
