BELOIT - The Beloit City Council approved the initial reading of language changes for a city fee ordinances Monday.
No fee increases were considered, but fees will continue to be included by an annual fee resolution that accompanies the budget process.
The changes remove the actual dollar amount within the language of the ordinance, city staff confirmed.
"The changes going forward...represent the last of the ordinances that contained the fees that can be set by resolution," said City Attorney Elizabeth Krueger.
Krueger termed the effort as a big project, noting that its the city's final push to have all fees included in the master fee schedule.
A comprehensive master fee schedule will be presented to council Dec. 18.
