JANESVILLE - A Beloit man has been charged after attempting to flee Janesville police following a Nov. 22 vehicle pursuit that started near the Garden Court Apartments on Main Street in Janesville, a Rock County Circuit Court criminal complaint states.

Everett K. Tipler, 48, is charged with attempting to flee or elude a traffic officer and false imprisonment, according to the complaint. The false imprisonment charge stems from Tipler allegedly keeping a female victim in the car during the pursuit after she demanded to be let out, the complaint said.
