RCCA offers health class to improve mental outlook

JANESVILLE - The Rock County Council on Aging will offer Lighten Up, a free health and wellness class for seniors age 60 and older. The eight-week class will be offered from 9:30-11 a.m. on Thursdays starting Sept. 20 and running through Nov. 8. Classes are held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 302 N. Parker Dr., Janesville.

The program is designed to help people manage their daily lives in more positive ways. Past Lighten UP participants report fewer feelings of depression and anxiety.
