Volunteer work day to be held at Welty Center

BELOIT - Welty Environmental Center, 1201 Big Hill Court, Beloit, will hold a Volunteer Work Day from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 10.

Volunteers should bring their own hand tools, gloves, safety glasses and hard-toed shoes to help clear invasives for a prairie restoration project at Big Hill Park. Prairie experts from Rock County Conservationists and Green-Rock Audubon will supervise work crews and offer guidance. Ages 14 and below must be accompanied by adult.

All participants are required to fill out a City of Beloit Volunteer waiver which will be available onsite that day. For more information, call 608-362-6212 or email info@weltycenter.org.
