Rock Valley College to hold jazz festival Saturday

ROCKFORD - Rock Valley College (RVC) will host its annual Jazz Festival on Saturday, Feb. 10 in the Performing Arts Room, located in the ERC building on RVC's main campus, 3301 N. Mulford Road, Rockford.

The Jazz Festival is a daylong event featuring local school jazz bands, a jazz clinic and a concert to cap the evening.

The school jazz bands will perform from 9-11:30 a.m. and admission is free. Participating local schools will include Rockford Lutheran High School, Auburn High School Rockford, Rockford Christian Middle School, Hononegah High School and Rockford Christian High School.

There will be a free jazz clinic at 1:30 p.m. and the day will conclude with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the concert are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors and will be available at the door.
