Snowshoe hike and classes offered at Nature at the Confluence

SOUTH BELOIT - Nature at the Confluence (NATC), 306 Dickop St., South Beloit, will teach the ins and outs of snowshoeing at 3 p.m. on Jan. 20 and 1 p.m. on Feb. 4. A one hour long hike starts with learning how to get up from a fall, selecting a comfortable stride for walking and stomping and turning around as we tour the loop around NATC. S'mores and hot cocoa will be enjoyed around a big outdoor fire after the hike.

The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under which includes snowshoes, poles and instruction. Registration is required. Call 815-636-9066 or register online at www.natureattheconfluence.com.
