CFNIL opens 2017-2018 scholarship application

ROCKFORD - The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois (CFNIL) opened its scholarship application on Dec. 1. More than $225,000 will be awarded to local students by CFNIL this year from 84 unique scholarships.

Students interested in applying can attend the Community Scholarship Fair from 5-7 p.m. on Dec. 5 at Mendelssohn Hall, 406 N. Main St., Rockford. Attendance is encouraged but not required.

All applications must be submitted through CFNIL's web portal. The application period will close at 5 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2018. Interested students should visit cfnil.org/scholarships to learn more.
