'Choose Williams for superintendent'

Print Article

I attended the School District of Beloit School Board meeting June 26 and listened to concerned citizens speak about the board's mishandling of the superintendent search.

I wish I would have spoken then, because I agree with those who spoke out. I don't understand for a moment why Dr. Williams would not be given full consideration for the superintendent position.

Our district would be lucky to have him at the helm. He is incredibly qualified and committed, has accomplished so much for our students and district in the last three years, but most important, his driving motivation is to provide all kids of Beloit with educational and life opportunities to succeed.

I have been fortunate to work with Dr. Williams on multiple occasions and I know he is genuinely committed to the kids of Beloit and to making our district the best it can be.

Overlooking him is unjust.
