'Stand up for senior citizens'

Print Article

As any senior can tell you, healthcare is always at the front of our minds. Whether we are retired, or semi-retired like myself, massive spikes in healthcare spending due to an illness is something we all dread.

Luckily, many seniors like myself have discovered the Medicare Advantage program which doesn't just treat our illnesses, but helps us prevent them. Focusing on our wellness and not just paying bills, our Advantage plans help us keep our healthcare costs down through prevention.

But every year at this time Washington decides on how much they should fund Medicare Advantage. And every year at this time seniors with Medicare Advantage hope Washington will continue to fully support the program that we love.

Luckily, Speaker Paul Ryan has always been an advocate and defender of Medicare Advantage. As Washington sets funding for this program again this year I hope he will continue to stand up for us seniors.
