'Great service in South Beloit'

Recently, on Jan. 2, the City of South Beloit decided to plow back the streets of South Beloit.

The driver of the snowplow hit a pile of leaves. By the time he got stopped the leaves were directly in front of my mailbox. He raised the plow and continued on, leaving a huge pile of leaves in front of my mailbox, making the mailman rather angry.

I immediately called my friend, Mike Murphy, and he came out and cleaned up a pickup load of leaves on the coldest day we've had in a long time.

This shows me that Mike will go out of his way to do a good job. I thank Mike and the City of South Beloit for this great service.
