'Be more alert to stem violence'

Print Article

"Guns don't kill people. People kill people."

Tighter gun laws might help but it's not the answer. Gun sellers regarding the sale of weapons that result in multi-shooting bullets need to keep strict records of their sales and pass them on to local and national law enforcement. It has to be a networking of information, not just local.

We don't want to lose our rights to bear arms, but we live in an era that we citizens must be alert and aware of our surroundings when we see or hear anything out of the norm. Report it to your local authorities.

Chicago is a prime example of control of guns. Just look at the amount of deaths caused by guns. Tighter gun control is not the answer.

Because of the latest carnage in Vegas the Democrats are again wanting gun controls. The answer is not gun control but public awareness. It's up to us to report and be more alert when something is out of the ordinary.

We have to be part of the system if we want to help, get involved. God bless America.
