Teacher turnover continues to be high each school year

In the past four years, teacher turnover in the School District of Beloit has ranged from 12 to 16 percent.

In the past four years, 291 teachers have left.

In 2013-2014, 64 teachers left; 2014-2015, 66 left; 2015-2016, 85 left; and in 2016-2017, 76 teachers left. In 2016-2017, seven of the teachers leaving were retiring, 67 were resigning and two were non-renewals due to license.

During the past four years, a total of 25 administrators have left. Administrator turnover has ranged from 11 to 29

percent.

In 2013-2014, six administrators left; in 2014-2015, four left; 2015-2016, 10 left; and in 2016-2017, five left. Four who left in 2016-2017 were resignations and one was a

retirement.

In the past three years, 45 paraeducators have left. Paraeducator turnover has ranged from 5 to 14 percent.

In 2013-2014, nine paraeducators left; 2014-2015, 15 left; and in 2015-2016, 15 left. In 2016-2017, six paraeducators left. In 2016-2017, one was a retirement and five were resignations.
