Cafe style setting offers comfort to area customers

A new type of automotive experience has arrived in South Beloit.

Integrity Auto Care, 14468 Industrial Parkway, right off Prairie Hill Road, offers all types of service in a cafe-style setting. When service technicians are performing oil changes or doing transmission, brake or tire work, customers can sip coffee or tea, watch the big-screen plasma TV and check their e-mail.

“We feel we can not only take care of cars, but take care of customers,” said President Leon Anderson.

Anderson and his wife, Shannon, decided to start the business after Central Ford in South Beloit closed about a year ago. Anderson had been working as a general manager at Central Ford and enjoyed helping customers.

The closing was a devastating blow for the staff and Anderson wanted to help his co-workers find jobs as well as provide loyal Central Ford customers with an alternative service facility.

When Anderson started Integrity, he was able to hire eight of the Central Ford employees to work at the new business which opened Aug. 1. One of his hires includes former Central Ford employee and Service Manager Jill Johnson.

Anderson said he enjoys the freedom to help customers. He has a loyal customer base from Central Ford, but is attracting new customers as well. At Integrity's open house, more than 400 customers flocked in to check out the place. About 10 to 17 customers are stopping by each day and the numbers keep growing.

Anderson said his goal is to offer honesty, superior quality, convenience and value in a modern and upscale facility. The shop will do most vehicle repairs and maintenance except body work.

Technicians will work on American and foreign vehicles including Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Lexus, BMW and more. Integrity offers shuttle service to and from customers' homes or workplaces within 20 miles of the business, and rental vehicles are available upon request.

Those who stop by will be welcomed in a reception area complete with complimentary coffee and tea as well as a book exchange. In the lounge, people can sit at pub-style tables, watch TV, read or watch their children in the play area. The entire area has hard wood floors and plenty of seating.

Integrity Auto Care is open 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday.
