‘Court order was necessary'

Published: Friday, February 24, 2006 11:43 AM CST
Senator Feingold asked for a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq, after three years and over 2,000 American deaths. This is a country that we basically attacked unilaterally and which was not a threat to our national security. Senator Feingold felt it was time to let their government provide for their own security.

According to George Bush, the mission was accomplished, and Dick Cheney said we would be hailed in the streets as liberators and the Iraqi oil would pay for the reconstruction. Given present conditions, high level plans are needed to reach certain goals. Acceptable procedures.

George Bush may have broken the law by not getting a court order for wiretapping. That is why Senator Feingold voted against the Patriot Act. He felt a court order was necessary. The same left-wing Senator Feingold voted for the confirmation of right-wing Attorney General Ashcroft and right-wing judge John Roberts.

Therefore, I am sure that your fair and balanced “middle of the road” editorial staff will support the candidacy of Senator Russ Feingold for President, right? Of course you will.
