  • A South Beloit woman was cited after leaving the scene of a property damage accident that occurred just after 2 a.m. today in the 600 block of Gardner Street. According to an accident report, the vehicle hit a pole and some trash cans. Once located, the driver, Brenda L. Degroot, 45, of the 15000 block of Northview Trail, said the vehicle had a tire blowout and she received a ride from the scene with friends. She was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and improper lane usage.

  • A 12-year-old boy was arrested for disorderly conduct and substantial battery Wednesday in the 500 block of Bluff Street.

  • A 14-year-old girl was arrested for disorderly conduct at McNeel Middle School Wednesday at 8 a.m.

  • Douglas Prichard, 30, of the 1300 block of Keeler Avenue, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm and resisting/obstructing Wednesday at 1:21 p.m. after an incident at Keeler and Porter Avenues.

  • Vicky D. Miller, 42, of the 600 block of Broad Street, Beloit, was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and criminal trespass Sunday in the 700 block of Oak Street.

  • Jimmie Chantel Broomfield, 32, of the 400 block of Merrill Street, was arrested for armed robbery, resisting/obstructing and battery.

  • A 14-year-old boy was arrested for forgery-uttering, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property and three counts of theft Monday in the 900 block of Brooks. In connection with the thefts, a 17 year-old was also arrested for three counts of theft.

  • Ralph E. Savage, 55, was arrested Monday for lewd and lascivious behavior after a neighbor in the 500 block of Blackhawk Boulevard reported that he was exposing himself in front of an open window.

    Crime:

  • Electronic equipment valued at over $1,500 was stolen from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Oak Street between Tuesday and Wednesday.

  • Bowling balls valued at $550 were taken from a vehicle in the 1600 block of Cleveland Street between 2 and 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.

  • Electronic equipment was taken from a vehicle in the 900 block of Vine Street between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.

  • A burglary occurred in the 1400 block of Madison Road Thursday between 5 and 7 p.m.

  • Three windows, valued at $450, were broken in the 1900 block of Colony Court Sunday between 9:30 and 10 a.m.

  • A strong arm robbery occurred in the 1000 block of Fifth Street Friday at 4:13 p.m.

  • Construction tools and equipment were stolen from a company trailer in the 2500 block of Shopiere Road between Thursday and Friday.

  • A fake $50 bill was passed at a business in the 1700 block of Park Avenue Thursday afternoon.

  • Car windows were broken on a vehicle in the 1900 block of St. Lawrence Avenue Friday at about 8:45 p.m. Damage is estimated at $800.

  • An armed robbery occurred at a residence in the 1900 block of Dewey Avenue, Beloit, Friday at about 2:30 a.m. A gun was used to rob the resident of a safe with cash.

  • A teen reported that he was hit with a baseball bat and robbed of his cell phone Saturday at Highland Avenue and McKinley Avenue. He described the assailants as two white teens and four black teens and reported the incident was gang related.

  • A burglary reportedly occurred in the 1800 block of East Briar, Beloit, between 9:15 a.m. and 7:56 p.m. Friday.

  • Compact discs valued at $675 were stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Moore Street between 2:50 and 5 a.m. Sunday.

  • Calls were made to the 911 center Sunday apparently threatening Beloit police officers. The calls are under investigation.

    Town of Beloit -
  • Police are investigating reports of vehicles being broken into in the 2100 block of Riverside Drive between 2 and 2:45 p.m. Monday and between 3:25 and 3:55 p.m. Monday on Huebbe Parkway. The windows of the vehicles were broken and a purse was taken from the Huebbe Parkway vehicle and a coin purse was taken from the Riverside Drive vehicle. Police did not release a suspect description.

    Courts:
  • Ollie M. Clark, 34, and Janice D. Clark, 31, of the 1600 block of Henderson Avenue, Beloit, were both charged with disorderly conduct. The couple had been arrested for child abuse Oct. 16.

    South Beloit -
  • An attempted break-in occurred in the 1800 block of Blackhawk Boulevard Saturday.

  • A tire was punctured and gas was siphoned in the 500 block of Blackhawk Boulevard Friday.

  • A pop machine was reported damaged in the 800 block of Shirland Avenue Friday.
