Beloit -
Two women were taken to the hospital after reporting injures from a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 81 near Elm Street Saturday at noon. The accident happened when a vehicle driven by Tijuana L. Sanders, 26, of Joliet Il., was passing a vehicle, driven by Heather A. Beilharz, 18, of Beloit, which had begun to pull over but then merged back into traffic. The vehicles collided.
Sanders and a passenger were taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital for evaluation. Sanders was cited for driving after suspension and passing in a no passing zone while Beilharz was cited for inattentive driving.
Town of Beloit -
A two car accident with injuries occurred at 6:42 p.m. Monday at Park and Elmwood Avenues.
Joseph Dammen, 38, of the 500 block of Hackett Street, Beloit, was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign. Neither he or his passenger, Joseph G. Dammen, 8, were injured, however the driver of the second car, Charlene M. McConnell, 52, of the 700 block of Elmwood Avenue, was taken to the hospital for injuries.
