College students present concert
The most advanced Beloit College student musicians will present a midterm concert Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Eaton Chapel.
Performances include Elaine Uffenbeck, of Clinton, Wis., playing "Concerto in A Minor" for organ by Antonio Vivaldi; Anna Rusk, of Lawrence, Mich., playing Mozart's "G Major Concerto for Flute;" Anna Wentz of Kirkwood, Mo., playing "Night Solioquy" by Kent Kennan; Diana Lepke of Milwaukee, Wis., presenting "Standhen" by Schubert; Rebecca Lammers, of Worthington, Ohio, playing "Chair" for viola by Paul Hovhaness, and Leland Fischer, of Quincy, Ill., performing "Sonata V" on trombone by Johann Ernst Galliard.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Free seminar set on identity theft
A free seminar on protection against identity theft will be offered 7 - 8 p.m. March 9 in the auditorium at Beloit Memorial Hospital, 1969 W. Hart Road.
Bonnie Wetter, vice president of Marshall and Ilsley Trust Company, will talk on the topic of "Identity Theft: Protecting Your Personal and Medical Information."
Identity theft affects an estimated 700,000 Americans each year. It is the fastest growing white collar crime in the nation.
Refreshments will be served at the presentation.

Fire department hosts fund-raiser
ROSCOE - The Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters Association will host its Spring Dinner fund-raising event 5 - 8 p.m. March 19 at Harlem-Roscoe Fire Station 1, 10544 Main St., Roscoe.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children. Children younger than 5 years old are admitted free.
The menu will include roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, cole slaw, buns and dessert.
