Bill Perkins Jr., of Avalon, has joined the Beloit Auction and Realty team.
Perkins, a recent Wisconsin real estate licensee, joins the Beloit group headed by auctioneer/broker Richard Ranft.
"We're happy to have Bill on board. He's a terrific auctioneer and he brings a lot of salesmanship and energy to the table," Ranft said.
Steven Rogers of Evanston, Ill, has been named to the AMCORE Financial board of directors.
Rogers, 47, is professor of finance and management at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston. He replaces Norman E. Johnson, chairman, CEO and president of CLARCOR Inc. in Nashville, Tenn.
Rogers will serve on the board's Governance Committee.
AMCORE Financial is based in Rockford and is the parent company of AMCORE Bank which has bank branches throughout northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
Linda Gerber has been named the new chief executive officer of the Rock River Valley Blood Center in Rockford.
Gerber previously was chief operations officer for the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center in Davenport, Iowa. She has nearly 30 years experience in the blood and health care industry.
Gerber takes the position held since 1986 by Elizabeth "Betty" Gibson who will retire in 2005.
The Rock River Valley Blood Center is the sole supplier of blood and related services to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Rockford Memorial Hospital, SwedishAmerican Hospital, Beloit Memorial Hospital, Edgerton Memorial Community Hospital, Freeport Health Network and more.
