  • A truck driver was injured when he swerved to miss a deer on Finley Road west of Afton Road at about 7:40 p.m. Sunday. The truck, which was full of corn, rolled and the driver was trapped inside. Firefighters extricated him and he was taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital. His name was not immediately available.

    Crime:
    Beloit -

  • A 1997 Mercury was reportedly stolen between at about 10:14 p.m. in the 1400 block of Porter Avenue.

  • A vehicle in the 1200 block of Dewey Avenue was damaged between midnight and 3:15 a.m. Monday. The damage is estimated at $200.

    South Beloit -

  • A man reported Monday that his garage in the 300 block of Springfield Avenue was burglarized.

    Courts:
  • Shanell Lafaye Parker, 21, of the 1100 block of Dewey Avenue, Beloit, was charged with party to the crime of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and misdemeanor bail jumping.

  • Rapheal A. Holmes, 19, of the 1400 block of White Avenue, Beloit, was charged with party to the crime of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, repeater and misdemeanor bail jumping as a repeater.

  • Tracy Lamont Moore, 33, of the 2000 block of East Ridge Road, Beloit, was charged with domestic substantial battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

  • Francisco J. Hernandez, 40, of the 900 block of Third Street, Beloit, was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, dealer in possession of a controlled substance with no tax stamp and misdemeanor bail jumping.

    Judge Michael Byron:

  • Sentenced John H. Garza, 39, of the 1900 block of Pierce Avenue, Rockford, to 30 days in jail with one year license revoked, for causing injury while driving under the influence. He was also fined $846. He was originally charged with hit and run causing injury.

    In another case, charges against Garza for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed.

  • Sentenced Brian T. Schaefermeyer, 33, of the 2600 block of Colley Road, Beloit, to two years probation with a six month license suspension for possession of narcotic drugs/vicodin.

    Judge James Daley:
  • Dismissed a charge of forgery-uttering against Michael J. Pozzani, 25, of the 1600 block of Lawney Court, South Beloit.

  • Sentenced Dustin Lee Williams, 22, of the 1800 block of Dewey Avenue, Beloit, to two years probation with six months license suspension for possession of a non-controlled narcotic substance. He was originally charged with attempting to get a controlled substance by fraud.

    Judge Alan Bates:
  • Sentenced Jewel K. Smith, 20, of the 2200 block of Burton Street, Beloit, to pay a $273 fine with costs for disorderly conduct. She was originally charged with misappropriating personal identifying materials.

  • Sentenced Brian D. Freeman, 23, of the 1300 block of Nelson Avenue, Beloit, to six months in jail, consecutive with other sentences for fourth degree sexual assault. He has 164 days credit.

    Freeman was also sentenced to six months in jail for felony bail jumping, consecutive to other sentences. In another case, he was sentenced to six months in jail concurrent with a misdemeanor battery sentence, but consecutive to all others.

    Freeman was also sentenced to six months in jail for criminal damage, felony bail jumping and obstructing, concurrent to each other but consecutive to all other sentences.

  • Sentenced Lamonda G. Harrison, 29, of the 900 block of Park Avenue, Beloit, to pay $131.40 in a fine and costs for disorderly conduct. She was originally charged with physical abuse of a child.

    Court Commissioner Stephen Meyer:
  • Dismissed a charge of party to the crime of discharging a firearm toward a person against David C. Absalom, 17, of the 500 block of Collins Drive, South Beloit.
