Free roof replacement offered to vet

BELOIT - A local businessman wants to give something back to veterans who have served this country.

Aurum Contracting is offering a free roof replacement to a war veteran. This is the second year the business has offered the roof replacement.

Aaron Nilson, owner of Aurum Contracting, is a veteran himself. He served in the U.S. Navy during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Nilson is accepting nominations for the recipient of this year's free roofing project for a veteran. Nominations for a deserving veteran can be emailed to aaron@aurumroofs.com. They also can be mailed or dropped off at the office at 901 Elmwood Ave., Beloit.

Nominations will be accepted until the end of October.
