FAYETTE, Iowa - Former Hononegah High School soccer standout Caila Petrie has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Goalkeeper of the Week.

Petrie, a senior at Upper Iowa University, led the Peacocks to a pair of 1-0 shutout victories over the weekend at Southwest Minnesota State and at home against Sioux Falls.

Petrie posted her second and third shutouts of the season, tallying nine saves in the process. She ranks fifth in the NSIC with 65 saves. She recorded four saves Friday at SMSU and five saves at home Sunday against USF. The two wins are the first time since 2015 the Peacocks recorded back-to-back shutouts, and it is the first time Petrie has posted two in a row.
