'Firefighters, dog should be priority'

Print Article

In the last few days I read that we may lose three firefighters for lack of funding.

We borrowed a police dog from Janesville to pursue some criminals, as we can't afford our own dog.

I also read of the plan to build a million dollar (plus) bridge for pedestrians, not far from the existing Grand Avenue bridge.

The firefighters and police dog benefit all the citizens of Beloit and should take priority of available funds. The bridge could be privately funded.
