'Strawberry Fest was successful'

Print Article

Sun Valley Presbyterian Church would like to thank the community for their continued support of our 9th annual Strawberry Festival on June 17.

We had another successful festival, raising over $8,000 for local and worldwide missions. Those who attended enjoyed a gorgeous Wisconsin summer day, delicious strawberry food, 20 local craft vendors and a variety of raffle items (the worth totaling over $2000).

Our crew and picked 400 pounds of strawberries at Skelly's Farm Market.

One hundred percent of the proceeds support local missions including Caritas, Hands of Faith, Beloit Hospice, The Dutter House, and Beloit Domestic Violence Center.

Many places from our community donated to the festival by donating raffle items or buying ads. Those business include: Starbucks, F&F Tire, Royal Car Wash, Markley's Mid-City Golf, Country Pride Meats, Austin's Barbershop, Papa Murphy's, Beloit Snappers, Laserquest, Westside Family Restaurant, Neli's Restaurant, Glen Erin, Beloit Civic Theatre, Woodmans, Red Barn, Anna Maria's, Beloit Club, Volcano Falls, Photography by April, United Car Wash, Grooming by Debbie, River Title Company, Daley Murphy Wisch, Kidspace Learning Center, Manic Racing, Batterman, Evergreen Design, Culvers, Vogel Law Firm, Kids Against Hunger, BMO Harris Bank, The Rock Bar & Grill, Personalized Accounting, Taylor Freezer and many individual donors.
