BELOIT - A Beloit teenager wanted in connection with a shots fired incident near Summit Park will be tried as a juvenile, according to the Rock County District Attorney's office.

The 16-year-old male was arrested by Beloit police on May 24, over a month after he allegedly fired shots at a moving vehicle on Dewey Avenue near Summit Park on April 17.

A witness, who was near the scene with his wife and 2-year-old son, said his vehicle was struck by one of shots. The suspect faces charges of first degree reckless endangering safety, endangering safety with a firearm and a juvenile in possession of a firearm.
