JANESVILLE, Wis. - The Beloit Memorial track and field team performed well at the 47th annual Craig-Parker Frosh-Soph Invitational held Wednesday at Monterey Stadium.
The Purple Knight freshmen placed second in the five-team meet while the sophomores placed third.
Freshman Shelvin Garrett won the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.98 seconds while Kobe Chandler won the 400 with a time of 55.98 seconds.
The Purple Knight freshmen also swept the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relay titles while Devon Hayes won the high jump with a 5-2.
In the sophomore meet, Eric Bridges won the 200 with a time of 24.33 while Lukas Laun-Smith won the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.30. Laun-Smith also won the high jump with a 5-6.
Matt Wedig closed out the Beloit winners with a victory in the discus with a toss of 114-03.
