BELOIT — After a shots fired report was made to Beloit police Monday near Summit Park, officers served a search warrant at a home in the 1500 block of Porter Avenue Wednesday.

No one was arrested following the sweep of the area, but police have identified a suspect in the case, command staff confirmed. Police declined to say who the suspect is, but said the name would be released this afternoon.

An unrelated citation was issued to an individual in the area for possession of a controlled substance during the operation, police said.
