Six DUI arrests made during special patrol

PECATONICA, Ill. — Six driving under the influence arrests were made Friday during a Roadside Safety Check patrol conducted by the Illinois State Police with assistances from the Loves Park Police Department and Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department.

The special patrol, conducted on St. Patrick’s Day, was located in Loves Park and sought to keep local roadways safe by watching out for drunk drivers as well as unsafe drivers.

There were nine arrests for alcohol/drug offenses, according to a news release from the Illinois State Police District 16. There were 23 total citations issued and eight warnings.
