BELOIT — The Beloit College women’s lacrosse team kept up its winning ways by topping Loras College 10-8 on Saturday and Wartburg College 6-5 Sunday.
The pair of victories brought the Bucs’ winning streak to four games.
Sunday, Wartburg opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game before Beloit’s Hannah Drexler evened it up midway through the half. The Knights regained the lead at 11:34 but Kaela Evans tallied at 8:35 to send the game to the break tied at 2-2.
Wartburg again jumped back in front just over two minutes into the second half before Nicole Dolcimascolo started a three-goal Buccaneer run at the 23:10 mark.
Drexler followed three minutes later to put the Bucs in front and Evans completed the run at 19:58 to make it 5-3.
Wartburg got back within 5-4 at 15:58 but Drexler helped Beloit regain their two-goal advantage with a free position goal at 6:26. Wartburg again pulled to within one at 5:11 but the Bucs made their one-goal lead stand up.
Marie Bonine made 14 saves in goal.
• In Saturday’s game, Dolcimascolo had three goals while Drexler and Evans added two in the win.
Beloit travels to Carroll for a non-conference game Wednesday at 5 p.m., before getting back to MWLC play next weekend.
