‘Cast a yes vote for Hononegah’

Print Article

On Tuesday, April 4th, the voters of the Hononegah Community High School District will have an opportunity to make an impact on students of the District for years to come.

A 17.8 million dollar referendum will be on the ballot to allow for the construction of a permanent fieldhouse to replace the collapsed dome.

There is an immediate urgency for this fieldhouse which cannot be seen visibly by the public the way the eyesore of the dome debris can be seen. It should be known that the lack of dome space has forced Physical Education classes to meet in hallways. The modernization of this new facility will allow for safer physical education and release athletic teams from hallways, off campus workouts, and practicing until 9 p.m.

Hononegah Community High School is the reason that many decide to choose this community. Voting for a history of what yesterday was without a solid vision of what tomorrow should be could jeopardize the things we hold dear to us.

A “Yes” vote on April 4th guarantees a continued success of Hononegah Community High School.
