U12 soccer team wins title

ST. CHARLES, Ill. — The U12 Knights FC team recently captured the title in the St. Charles Sportsplex 2016 Christmas 3v3 Tournament.

Undefeated in pool play, the Knights went on to win the championship game to finish 4-0 in the tournament.

The team had players from Beloit, Janesville and Roscoe.

Mason Oberheim, 10, is a fourth grader at Kinnikinnik School in Roscoe. Stephen Kaster, 11, is a fifth grader at Adams School in Janesville. Banks Denu, 7, is a second-grader at Todd Elementary in Beloit and the remaining three players are all from Fruzen Intermediate School in Beloit: Jackson Moore, 12, a seventh-grader; Baylor Denu, 11, a sixth-grader and Beckham Denu, 10, a fourth-grader.
