‘Quietly making the area better’

Steve Kopp, the Beloit Township Police Chief, is retiring after a long and successful career in law enforcement. We all owe him a hearty thank you.

Thank you for being a quiet force for good. We never saw Chief Kopp in the news beating his chest about his political views or bragging about his accomplishments. The chief simply did his job very well and quietly made the area better by his leadership and deeds.

The next time we read about crime, misbehavior or world disorder and fear for ourselves or loved ones, we should think of Chief Kopp quietly getting the job done. Thank you, Chief Kopp, I salute you!
